The Story of Noah and the Ark

Introduction

A long, long time ago, when the earth was still young, there lived a good and righteous man named Noah. Noah had a wonderful family and loved God with all his heart. But, unfortunately, the people around him were not as good. They had forgotten about God and did bad things.

God's Message

One day, God spoke to Noah. “Noah,” God said, “the earth has filled with violence and wickedness. I have decided to send a great flood to cleanse the earth. But you and your family will be saved because you have been faithful and righteous.”

God gave Noah special instructions: “Build a large ark, a huge ship made of wood. Make it big enough to house your family and two of every kind of animal on earth, a male and a female.”

Building the Ark

Noah listened to God and began to build the ark, even though the people around him laughed and mocked him. Together with his sons, he cut the wood and built the ark just as God had told him. It took a long time, but Noah never stopped working.

Gathering the Animals

When the ark was ready, God sent animals from all corners of the earth. Elephants and small snakes, colorful birds and beautiful tigers, slow bears and bouncing rabbits all came. All the animals boarded the ark, two by two.

The Flood

Noah, his family, and the animals entered the ark, and God closed the door. It started to rain. It rained and rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The waters rose and covered the entire earth, but the ark floated safely.

After the Flood

After many days, the rain stopped and the waters began to recede. Noah sent out a dove to see if the land had dried. After a few tries, the dove returned with an olive branch in its beak, a sign that the waters had receded and the land was dry again.

God told Noah to come out of the ark with his family and all the animals. They came out and were very happy to be on dry land again. Noah built an altar and thanked God for His protection and care.

The Rainbow of Promise

God placed a rainbow in the sky and promised that He would never again send a flood to destroy all life on earth. The rainbow would always be a sign of this promise.

Conclusion

And so, Noah and his family lived happily on the cleansed earth, knowing that God is good and that He always keeps His promises.

This is the story of Noah and the Ark, a tale of faith, obedience, and God’s promises.
